The U.K. branch of Budweiser will release five million beers in zero-carbon aluminum cans.

Sep 29 2021

The U.K. branch of Budweiser will release five million beers in zero-carbon aluminum cans. In an effort to appeal to eco-conscious young consumers, Budweiser has struck a deal with Russian company Rusal to be part of the first commercial rollout of its novel no-carbon can. In the U.K., 30% of consumers say the environment is one of the top three issues the country is facing, beating out Brexit, immigration, crime, and more. Meanwhile, YPulse has found that 70% of 13-39-year-olds in the U.S. have changed some element of their behavior or purchasing due to their concerns about the environment, and the majority agree that corporations should do more to stop climate change. Younger generations are catching climate anxiety, too: 91% of EMEA six-12-year-olds say they’re concerned about climate change, and their most common feelings are “worry,” “fear,” and “sadness,” and 83% say they want to do more to protect the environment.
