Nearly half of young renters are worried they won’t ever own a home.

Sep 13 2021

Nearly half of young renters are worried they won’t ever own a home. We told you that buying a house is one of Gen Z and Millennials’ top financial goals, but according to a Lending Tree survey, 48% of renters worry they won’t be able to buy a home during their lifetimes, with 52% of 25-40-year-olds worried about their prospects of homeownership. Because home prices are rising “really, really fast,” and wages are not keeping up with that pace, people in the midst of their career feel as though “if [they] haven’t bought a house at this point, it’s probably not going to happen.” (CNBC)
