Amanda Gorman is Estée Lauder’s first-ever Global Changemaker—and together they’re launching a new literacy initiative.

Sep 13 2021

Amanda Gorman is Estée Lauder’s first-ever Global Changemaker—and together they’re launching a new literacy initiative. The young poet laureate and activist captured the nation with her poem during last year’s inauguration, and now she’s the new face of Estée Lauder, where she will appear in campaigns for them in spring 2022. As part of her new role as the beauty brand’s first-ever Global Changemaker, she will be launching the Writing Change initiative to promote literacy, which the company will be donating $3 million toward. Gorman will participate in various philanthropic activities with the brand and “advance literacy as a pathway to equality, access and social change.” According to the 23-year-old poet: “Mrs. Estée Lauder shattered glass ceilings as a leader in business 75 years ago. Embracing this spirit, I am delighted that our partnership will help inspire women, girls, and all people around the world to do great things, to disrupt, to be confident, and to be future leaders in whatever path they take.” (Adweek)
