Italian accessories brand Coccinelle has teamed up with Barbie for a campaign focused on inclusion and diversity. Featuring a nylon bag printed with the slogan “The Future is Limitless,” the brands have partnered with 180 international influencers across 25 countries with the goal of “pull[ing] down the barriers,” according to Coccinelle’s COO Emanuele Mazziotta. “The idea is that if you believe in yourself, you will succeed. Diversity is a value and not a limit, this is the concept.” The push for diversity in skincare, fashion, and beauty has been trending for a while now, and Barbie has been a leader in the movement. In addition to adding diverse body types, races, and abilities to its line of dolls, Barbie also started releasing YouTube videos during the pandemic, discussing socially relevant topics like loneliness and racial injustice.
