“League of Legends” is putting a heavy metal twist on the video game concert craze.

League of Legends is putting a heavy metal twist on the video game concert craze. YPulse’s Future of Experience trend research shows that 44% of 13-39-year-olds have attended a livestreamed concert, and now League of Legends is partnering with “virtual entertainment” company Wave on a virtual concert experience. Heavy metal band Pentakill is set to perform at the League of Legends concert on September 8, and participants will be able to “influence the performance in real time” according to Wave. The event is described as “an interactive journey through the full concept album,” and voting features will be available to users so they can participate in the “choose-your-own-adventure”-like experience.
