Target is stirring up excitement for this year’s holiday shopping season by unveiling its top-toy list ahead of schedule. Last year, YPulse’s holiday shopping research found that games/toys were the second-most popular item on Millennial parents’ shopping lists. Now, Target is putting an emphasis on gaming and active play with its Bullseye’s Top Toys list for 2021, featuring 50 products across six toy categories. Featured products include Hasbro’s Baby Alive Lulu Achoo Doll (Inspire New Stories section), Mattel’s Hot Wheels Monster Trucks T-Rex Volcano Arena Track Set (Inspire Imagination), Hasbro’s Nerf Elite 2.0 Flipshots Flip-32 Blaster (Inspire Active Play), and Nintendo’s Switch OLED and Switch with Neon Blue and Neon Red Joy (Inspire Future Gamers). Target also listed the top brands for this year’s holiday shopping season, including Lego, MGA Entertainment’s L.O.L. Surprise!, and Star Wars. The retailer is hoping that Millennial parents will be able to avoid shipping delays caused by issues with the supply chain by releasing its top-toy list ahead of its usual release later in the fall.
