Bev brands are launching sustainably-focused products and campaigns to reach young consumers. Coca-Cola is leaning into micromobility by teaming up with Lime to encourage consumers to recycle its new soda bottles that are made from 100% recycled plastic. Consumers who purchase a Coca-Cola Sip Size bottle can score a free, 10-minute ride on a Lime bicycle or scooter when they pledge to recycle the bottle online, expanding on Coca-Cola’s World Without Waste initiative aiming to collect and recycle 100% of the packaging the company sells globally by 2030. Corona is also promoting sustainability with a Box’d “Protect our Beaches” sweepstakes in partnership with Group Nine Media that will give away 250 prize packs of eco-friendly products to consumers who participate in Corona’s “Protect Our Beaches” program. YPulse’s sustainability research shows that 85% of 13-39-year-olds worry about climate change, and offering experiences (and products) that promote sustainability are a top way brands can show young consumers they are committed to the cause.
