And in other entertainment news, Millennial parents are about to get even more children’s YouTube hits on Netflix. The streaming service has ordered three more season of CoComelon Lane, a kid’s show based on the uber-popular nursery rhyme CoComelon YouTube channel, and has ordered 48 episodes of Little Baby Bum based on another hit YouTube show from the CoComelon team. With growing competition from other streaming services (like Disney+), Netflix is making family shows a priority. The brand reports that 60% of its users watch kids’ and family content, and indeed, YPulse’s media consumption research shows that 76% of Millennial parents watch Netflix weekly compared to 63% of their non-parents peers. CoComelon has been a huge hit for the platform, with the show appearing in the top ten shows on the platform in 29 countries. (Bloomberg)
