Budweiser just launched limited edition Notorious B.I.G cans. As a way to tap into ‘90s nostalgia and pay tribute to the legendary rapper, the beer company teamed up with the Christopher Wallace Estate to release limited edition Tall Boy cans featuring Biggie Smalls. The cans feature the late rapper’s face as well as phrases like “King of New York” and Brooklyn’s Finest,” along with illustrations of the Brooklyn skyline to commemorate his hometown. Iconic lyrics from his songs like “Live from Bedford-Stuyvesant the livest one, Representin BK to the fullest” are also included on some of the cans. They will be available exclusively in NYC, but a Budweiser x Biggie merch collection featuring limited edition t-shirts, hoodies, and sweatshirts are open to everyone on the Shop Beer Gear site. According to Biggie’s mother Voletta Wallace: “I am honored to know that a brand such as Budweiser wanted to celebrate my son in this way. Christopher’s legacy and brand value is extremely important to myself and the family and memorializing him on the can of an iconic beer brand as Budweiser is something I believe he would be happy with.” (HYPEBEAST)
