Shop LIT Live is becoming a go-to platform for livestream shopping events. YPulse’s Retail’s New Reality trend research found that 76% of 13-39-year-olds agree online shopping should be an experience, and livestream shopping is a top way to engage with young shoppers. Now, more DTC indie beauty brands have been adopting the livestreaming platform Shop LIT Live to tap into live shopping’s success in overseas markets. Covey recently joined the platform and hosted their first live shopping event featuring the brand’s co-founder and model Emily DiDonato who demonstrated a live Covey skincare routine while viewers could shop from links and receive a 20% discount during the event. The platform currently boasts around 300 brand partners plus more than 100 influencers, and 70% of women on the platform are Gen Z and Millennials. Users can earn awards known as “coins” (which can be put toward in-app purchases) by inviting friends to join the app, writing a review, or following the service on Instagram—all of which are helping drive the platform’s user growth. As Shop LIT Live adds more features, the platform could be a boon for brands looking to tap into the live shopping model. (Glossy)
