Hasbro is bringing Baby Alive Dolls to YouTube. Baby Alive Show is a new 20-episode YouTube series (launched on July 9) following a young girl named Charlie who takes care of her Baby Alive dolls with the magical help of Glo Pixies. The toy brand’s move to YouTube is Hasbro’s way of “deepening the connection between the kids and dolls [with] storylines that reflect children’s daily routines and playtimes,” according to the toy giant’s svp of global brands. Two new dolls inspired by the series are also being released in August including a Baby Alive Glo Pixies and Baby Alive Lulu Achoo. YPulse’s media consumption research shows that YouTube is the top media platform Millennial parents say their kids are using, with 59% saying their children are watching content on the site daily. Brands looking to produce kids’ content can no longer have to go through traditional TV channels to reach this next generation. (Romper)
