Hyundai tapped BTS to empower Gen Z and Millennials to combat climate change. For Hyundai’s environmentalism campaign, the brand released a live YouTube video with BTS explaining how they’re using hydrogen as a more eco-friendly fuel source. Members of BTS used infographics and examples to show how hydrogen can reduce carbon emissions if it’s integrated into our economies and infrastructures, while giving young people actionable steps to combat climate change. The video garnered more than 40,000 viewers and 18,000 comments during the livestream, with some noting they “learned more about hydrogen from the video than during their entire school years.” YPulse’s sustainability data found that 78% of Gen Z and 76% of Millennials agree their generations are responsible for stopping climate change from getting worse, and Hyundai’s tapped some of the biggest influencers in BTS to spread their message.
