Chipotle is expanding into athlete-inspired custom meals.The fast casual chain has been dabbling in influencer and celebrity custom menu offerings as of late (long live the “Guac is Extra But So Is Miley Burrito”). Now, Chipotle is partnering with defensive midfielder Julie Ertz, biker Kate Courtney, and volleyball player Alix Klineman—a.k.a. Chipotle’s “Unwrapped” ambassadors. Each ambassador will create a custom menu order that will live exclusively on Chipotle’s app and website to continue driving its digital sales and expand its messaging as a healthy, fast-casual restaurant ahead of the Tokyo Olympics.
