YouTube’s TikTok clone Shorts is coming to the U.S. next month. After running in beta mode last year in India (where TikTok is banned), YouTube’s Shorts feature is finally coming to the states in March. Shorts allows users to share 60-second videos with the help of editing effects and music from YouTube Music, letting “creators and artists shoot snappy videos with nothing but their mobile phones.” The company reported that since December, the number of Indian channels using its creation tools on Shorts have “more than tripled” while the Shorts player received 3.5 billion daily views.
