Could K-fashion be the next trend to take off in the U.S.? To coincide with its 10-year anniversary, Korean fashion brand Greedilous made their debut in the U.S. via a direct-to-consumer site that makes and sells “made-to-order styles.” According to the founder and designer YouHee Park, she was advised to expand in the U.S. market “because of the Hollywood influence.” Overall, K-fashion has been catching on in the country especially with streetwear fans who have previously “scooped up unique pieces” for brands like PushButton and Aderror. Companies like L Catterton have invested in Korean eyewear brand Gentle Monster, while Seoul Fashion Week has grabbed global attention—rivaling that of the four fashion capitals. YPulse’s Borderless Culture trend report found that 39% of 13-37-year-old females follow K-pop proving that K-fashion could potentially just be as successful. (Glossy)
