With major festivals getting cancelled again, it’s looking less and less likely that live music events will return in 2021.

Feb 04 2021

With major festivals getting cancelled again, it’s looking less and less likely that live music events will return in 2021. Initially, Dr. Fauci predicted that concerts and theaters could return “some time in the fall.” But with the slow vaccine rollout, new virus strains, and not enough people wearing face masks or taking preventative measures, it no longer looks as likely. While some types of live events are safer than others, especially those that are outside, experts believe that major festivals in the U.S. shouldn’t take the risk. Coachella and Stagecoach just announced that they are postponing their festivals for a third time with no definite date in sight. YPulse found that concerts and music festivals are one of the events that young consumers are excited to attend again once COVID is over, but the majority still believe COVID will be a threat for more than six months.
