Molson Coors is launching their first CBD drink line in the U.S. as “cannabis-infused” food and bev are expected to take off this year.

Jan 20 2021

Molson Coors is launching their first CBD drink line in the U.S. as “cannabis-infused” food and bev are expected to take off this year. Truss CBD USA, a joint venture owned by Molson Coors, is launching a line of sparkling, nonalcoholic CBD drinks and will be available exclusively in Colorado. Verywell is a “hemp-derived, adaptogenic, sparkling water with no calories or sugar” and is offered in three flavors: grapefruit tarragon, strawberry hibiscus, and blueberry lavender. Although the pandemic slowed the progress for product development of cannabis-infused food and drinks, experts are projecting 2021 as its breakout year. More states have legalized cannabis, and more companies are entering the U.S., with one cannabis co. CEO saying, “The U.S. is expected to be the largest market opportunity globally.” YPulse’s Cannabis Infusion report found that 59% of 18-36-year-olds say CBD should be more mainstream.
