Brands are already planning for the comeback of physical retail.

Jan 12 2021

Brands are already planning for the comeback of physical retail. While many stores suffered from closures and less foot traffic last year, some companies took this opportunity to plan for the opening of new store locations with amenities. Men’s fashion brand Slowear opened a 1,150-square-foot store in Chicago in October along with “a sitting area serving espresso and prosecco to encourage shoppers to stay awhile” followed by other locations across major cities. The store expansion is all part of their “direct-to-consumer strategy” as a way to build stronger relationships with their customers. Meanwhile, as a part of Alexander McQueen’s “aggressive global store expansion” strategy, they’re converting flagship locations to cater customers “both and online and offline while entertaining them as well” and Tiffany’s is introducing the “jeweller’s food concept” to their store by opening a Blue Box Cafe inside.
