Young viewers and families loved the NFL’s kid-friendly game on Nickelodeon.

Young viewers and families loved the NFL’s kid-friendly game on Nickelodeon. Yesterday, the NFL aired their kid-friendly Wild Card playoff Bears-Saints game on CBS and Nickelodeon, filling the latter broadcast with slime cannons, bright colors, animations, simple breakdowns of football rules, and “player comparisons to cartoon characters” like SpongeBob SquarePants. So far, the reactions on social media sway positive as it brought much needed “delight” to viewers’ lives. According to CBS broadcaster Noah Eagle, it was the “perfect opportunity to captivate a new audience of sports fans and football fans, while being a family friendly broadcast, so that the family can watch it as a single unit, and have fun.” (Sportsnet, Mashable)
