Supreme has been acquired by VF Corporation. The company that owns Vans, Timberland, and The North Face is buying iconic skate label Supreme for $2.1 billion. Supreme already has a “longstanding relationship” with VFC through previous collaborations with the company’s brands, but they are still expected to work with other brands “outside of the VF portfolio.” The streetwear brand has been amazingly successful in reaching young consumers—and this acquisition would expand their reach and potentially make them even more “ubiquitous.” (Fashionista, The Cut)
