Activision Blizzard is making a “major push” into the world of mobile gaming. YPulse found that 46% of 13-39-year-olds started playing a new mobile or video game because of quarantines. To reach those cooped up young gamers, Activision Blizzard is planning a “major expansion into mobile gaming.” Their plans include slowly bringing all of their franchise to mobile over time. According to the company, Call of Duty: Mobile has been downloaded more than 300 million times globally since its release last October and was the “highest-grossing game” in the U.S. app stores. They predict that fourth quarter revenue will surpass $2 billion, which would bring their yearly total to $7.7 billion (Mobile Marketer) |
