This holiday, digital sales could grow up to 47%. Online shopping has been a lifeline among homebound young shoppers and ahead of the holiday shopping season, digital sales are expected to get even bigger. YPulse’s Holiday Shopping report found that 53% of 13-39-year-olds plan to do most of their shopping online, and according to a report from Adobe Analytics, digital sales are expected to jump 33% reaching $189 billion. However, if consumers receive another round of stimulus checks and retail locations are forced to close again, shoppers are expected to spend “an additional $11 billion online, surpassing a total of $20 billion.” This could mean a whopping 47% jump in totally digital sales compared to last year.
