Netflix is launching their first toy line with Mattel. Ahead of the premiere of the streaming service’s anticipated animated musical Over the Moon, Netflix is launching a Mattel doll and plush line next month—the first toys the streaming service has created. The film, inspired by a classic Chinese myth, tells the story of a young girl who builds a rocket ship to travel to the moon and prove the existence of the Moon Goddess. The toy collection will be based on characters from the movie, with a theme centered around the “power of imagination.” (Kidscreen, GeekSpin)
