Twitch is getting into the fashion business.

Sep 21 2020

Twitch is getting into the fashion business. Marketing is becoming increasingly popular inside video games, and video game streamer Twitch is trying to grab high end brands’ attention. Burberry is the first luxury brand to team up with the video game livestreamer, streaming their Spring/Summer 2021 show from London Fashion Week and garnering 42K concurrent views. To offer perspectives from celebrities like Gigi Hadid and Rosalía, it was streamed in “squad stream mode,” a function that allows streamers to broadcast together. Streetwear brands like Champion and Anti Social Social Club have created exclusive collections with popular Twitch streamers, and top users have even launched their own merch. Squad mode streams is what sets Twitch apart from other social platforms and streaming services making it more enticing for more fashion brands to join. (Vogue Business)
