“Facebook Campus” wants to connect college students during the pandemic. During COVID, the social network is going back to its “college-only roots” of connecting students with their campus communities. The new “Facebook Campus” feature will have its own dedicated section on the Facebook app where students can create separate Campus profiles from their regular profiles to join school-related groups, events, special chat rooms, and have access to the campus dictionary. The site launched the initiative in response to schools going virtual, with YPulse’s data showing that the majority of college students are attending classes online this fall. (Forbes, Facebook)
