Millennials are trading brunch for pop-up picnics during the pandemic.

Sep 01 2020

Millennials are trading brunch for pop-up picnics during the pandemic. With some still anxious about dining in restaurants, most of which are operating at limited capacity, picnic rentals and outdoor dining sets to “safely socially distance” are trending. Companies like The Picnic Collective and Picnics in the City have seen an increase in business during COVID, with the former offering picnic packages that include cheese boards, florals, and set-up and clean-up services. Picnickers have the option to choose add-ons like photographers or a yoga class for additional pricing. Meanwhile, The Picnic Collective has set-ups for more than 40 people in public places and have add-ons like teepees, wooden arches, and peacock chairs. (Business Insider)
