| TikTok is about to launch their first livestream shopping event. As online shopping has been getting more engaging for young consumers, livestream retail is on the rise—and it looks like it’s one of the ways that TikTok will be bringing shopping to the platform. In partnership with “mobile-first shopping” company NTWRK—which specializes in shoppable video and exclusive product drops—TikTok will be selling a line of exclusive apparel, with the first two items available to users via a livestream on the app. The collection is reportedly “inspired by” #fitcheck videos on the app, and the hoodie and t-shirt sold on the livestream will feature the messages “not going anywhere” and “here to stay”—a direct response to Trump’s current threats to the app. (Adweek) |
