Free People is leaning into vintage goods and helping to keep a famous flea market alive online.

Aug 18 2020

Free People is leaning into vintage goods and helping to keep a famous flea market alive online. The Rose Bowl Flea has been a popular tradition in LA since the ‘70s, but COVID forced them to shut down in March. Now, Free People will be helping them go virtual, bringing a handful of vendors online to their site so young consumers can shop the flea market’s vintage selections. They will launch new items from the market on the last Sunday of every month through December. Free People reports that they’ve been adding vintage items to their site and hosted vintage pop-ups in stores earlier this year—a smart move considering young shoppers’ secondhand clothing habits.
