College students stuck at home during the pandemic are redecorating their childhood bedrooms. We told you that more young people have become interested in decorating and furnishing their home during COVID. With inspiration from Pinterest, college students are repainting and reorganizing their bedrooms in preparation of remote learning in the fall. Many are shopping at Bed Bath & Beyond, who recently launched a “College From Home” section, for accent rugs, storage boxes, and curtains. The new section is offering design tips, quizzes to help students figure out their own style, and the option to get paid from online interior design service Decorist. According to the retailer, searches for desks and office chairs on their site were up more than 200% compared to last year. An analyst said that while young consumers want to avoid spending too much on home goods, they also want to make their spaces more “liveable and enjoyable.” (Fast Company)
