A TikTok influencer house for “gay and alternative creators” is coming soon. Even a potential TikTok ban hasn’t stopped influencers from launching new content creator collectives. After being vocal about how he was tired of seeing only “straight” influencer houses, YouTube comedian-turned-musician Elijah Daniel announced that he would be funding the Alt Haus, a collective of his own for more diverse and “gay and alternative” creators. He asked his followers to suggest and recommend their favorite LGBTQA and “alt creators” as well as interview questions for potential applicants. Since then, “thousands” of users have submitted audition videos. YPulse’s causes/charity and activism report found that LGBTQ rights is one of the top social causes young people are passionate about.
