Millennials and Gen Z say childcare costs are affecting their decision to have children. According to a GenForward and Next100 survey, 87% of 18-36-year-olds say the cost of childcare is important in deciding whether or not they have children. Among Gen Z and Millennials who already have kids, 72% reported that the lack of affordable childcare has become a barrier to meeting their career goals. Overall, 81% of Gen Z and Millennials believe access to affordable, high quality childcare is an important issue that needs to be addressed. YPulse’s Millennial Parenting report found that 52% of 19-37-year-olds are currently not interested in being parents, but are open to or plan to be in the future. (CNBC)
