Cameo is now offering fans private Zoom calls with celebrities, for a hefty price. The site, which allows celebrities to send personalized videos to fans, took off last year and surged in popularity during the pandemic. Now, they’ve added Cameo Live, a new offering that takes celebrity interactions from prerecorded messages to live video call sessions. These 10 minute calls cost anywhere from $150 to $1,500, and 50 stars, including Tony Hawk, Jeremy Piven, and Nikki Blonsky, have signed on so far. The site is also working on a subscription product, where fans pay $5 a month to be in a group chat with their favorite celeb. (The Verge, TechCrunch)
