There has been an “unprecedented demand” for buying snacks online. From video games to hair dye, young consumers are fueling booms for many industries while in quarantine. According to Mondelez International, their snack brands, including Oreos, Ritz, and Triscuit, are seeing massively increased e-commerce sales. While they declined to offer specific numbers, they said all their brands are seeing “growth far above their normal rates” as consumers seek comfort and continue to stock pantries. They’re increasing online brand presence as a result and expect a “good portion” of online sales will “stick” after the crisis. (Food Dive)
