Teens are turning to TikTok and Bitmoji to cope and inform themselves about Coronavirus. TikTok has become a space for Gen Z to cope during the pandemic, with many showing their day-to-day lives while they’re stuck indoors, and song clips about isolation are becoming increasingly popular. Fact-checked videos about COVID-19 can be found among the stream of cute pet and dancing videos as the app both connects and informs young users. Over on Bitmoji, health-themed stickers like “Wash your hands!” and “Don’t touch your face!” are now available to share as social media-friendly PSAs. (Paper Magazine, Mashable)
