Thanks to Coronavirus, some young consumers are buying dirt cheap flights, while others are booking Airbnb hideaways. Outbreak fears are causing many to cancel trips and travel less, resulting in cheaper airfare—and some young travelers are snatching up the opportunity to book a discounted vacation (or at least joking about doing so on social media). They’re willing to “[risk] it all for a dream trip,” with one even saying, “I might as well be somewhere having fun.” Airbnb hosts are also suffering from a dip in reservations, with some offering “Coronavirus-free” getaways to houses fully stocked with toilet paper, food, and water.
