Gen Z isn’t just “endlessly promoting themselves on social media.”According to a survey by global consultancy firm EY, Gen Z are concerned about money and are (of course) “incredibly tech-savvy.” The study shows that 67% of 12-to-22-year-olds say that people cannot be trusted, which is why brand transparency is important to them and a top priority when it comes to making purchasing decisions, while 84% say they have a social media account, but use it more to stay in touch and build connections than for public sharing and self-promotion.
