European Millennials still live with their parents, while U.S. Millennials are living with significant others. According to a European Union Statistics on Income and Living Conditions survey, nearly 40% of 25-to-29-year-olds in 28 European countries still live with at least one parent while working—and because of the 2008 financial crisis, they’re being dubbed the “boomerang generation.” According to YPulse’s life planning and milestones survey, 22% of 19-to-37-year-olds are living with their parents, 14% live with roommates, 13% live alone, while 45% live with a significant other or their own families.
