Instagram is Gen Z’s go-to shopping destination.According to a study from digital and creative agency Composed, 60% of 18-to-24-year-olds use the platform to discover new brands and products, and they’re more likely to do so on Instagram than Snapchat, YouTube, or Facebook. Instagram is still testing tools that will expand their shoppability, but YPulse has found that 37% of 13-to-37-year-olds are open to buying products on the app. As one young shopper explains, “It’s just easier than going to Safari and typing everything in when you can build a cart on Instagram.” (Glossy)
