Young creators are living and working together in “collab houses,” and they’re taking over L.A.

Jan 07 2020

Young creators are living and working together in “collab houses,” and they’re taking over L.A. Hype House, the latest content creator collective, has 19 influencers from TikTok all living in the same mansion to support each other creatively and emotionally in their careers. However, Hype House isn’t the first “content house” in the city. Since 2014, YouTuber mansions (including Jake Paul’s infamous Team 10) have been popping up (long before TikTokers started coming around). According to one YouTuber, having these collectives is a “brilliant move for power players on the platforms to lift each other up.” (NYTimes)
