Self-disruption is a must for brands who want to reach young consumers. According to a report by McKinsey, 79% of industry executives placed “self-disruption” in the top five trends impacting the apparel business, thanks to young consumers’ tendency to chase new brands. Nearly half of young consumers said they were less loyal to clothing brands than a few years ago, while 46% say they go to social media for clothing ideas, compared to 22% of consumers overall. The resale market is set to disrupt the fashion industry even further—a trend YPulse has been keeping track of. (Sourcing Journal)
