KFC is getting in on the fake meat craze with vegan “chicken” nuggets. The fast food chain has paired up with Beyond Meat to create the “Kentucky Fried miracles” and is testing them out at one Atlanta franchise. If consumer opinion flies high, then KFC will consider a nation-wide rollout. Vegan options are a fast-rising food trend among Gen Z & Millennials, and what started as a gimmick has become a must-have for major fast food chains—including Burger King, Subway, and Carl’s Jr. (The Verge, TNW)
