Macy’s is tapping young shoppers’ love of thrifting by giving digital consignment store ThredUp physical space. Whether they’re hunting for discounts or trying to go zero-waste, Gen Z & Millennials can now secondhand shop and sell used goods inside Macy’s stores. One Investment Research firm CEO explains, “All retailers have to think out of the box about their square footage and assortment…Offering secondhand brands the store might not carry could add value,” adding that Urban Outfitters already offers vintage finds in addition to their regular merch.
