Why are there so many kids on YouTube? Vids with kids get three times as many views. Even though kids under 13 aren’t supposed to be on the platform, Pew’s recent research found that videos starring younger kids are viewed far more than those without. Only 21% of that content was actually aimed at kids. Interestingly, only 13% of videos targeting children actually star kids, with toys and games most likely to be the focus (sometimes in weird ways).
