Direct-to-consumer startups are making toilet paper with flashy packaging and sustainable sourcing for Millennials. Some were made with sustainability in mind, like Who Gives A Crap, which not only offers recycled and bamboo products but donates half of their proceeds to related organizations. For others, being more environmentally friendly than big brands like Charmin and Scott is “a happy accident” and a chance to greenwash their marketing for cause-conscious young consumers. (Vox)
