Amazon shoppers will soon have the chance to virtually try on makeup. The retail giant is leveraging L’Oréal’s ModiFace to let mobile shoppers apply makeup to pictures and videos of themselves. Beauty has been an early adopter of AR capabilities, with the likes of CoverGirl and Sephora launching similar ModiFace-powered features. But Amazon getting in on the game will bring the high-tech shopping feature to more people, making the experience a more common way to shop. (VB)
