Some young consumers are simplifying their skin care routines—but they’re still buying into the industry’s boom. Our Wellness Intensified trend found that Gen Z & Millennials are spending billions on skin care products, with 29% saying they’ve upped their spend in the past year. They’ve become mini-experts with arsenals of serums and creams. And while some are looking to Marie Kondo their bathroom cabinets, brands are cashing in, as bar soaps and “single-dose skincare” supplements from the likes of Estée Lauder and Elizabeth Arden gain popularity.
