Apple is booting parental control apps off their App Store, claiming they violate children’s privacy.

Apr 30 2019

Apple is booting parental control apps off their App Store, claiming they violate children’s privacy. The tech giant has taken down 11 of the 17 apps available to limit kids’ screen time, saying that a third-party program they all used was able to track kids’ locations and allowed parents to control devices remotely, going against App Store guidelines. However, the apps in question think Apple has an ulterior motive: they want Millennial parents to use their recently-launched Screen Time feature to monitor their kids’ tech use instead.
