A new “digital lock” will block Chinese teens under the age of 16 from playing more than two hours of Tencent games. Originally, young gamers in China could play restriction-free once they turned 13, but Tencent is tightening up the lock. And once teens do reach the minimum age, they need parent approval to play at all. The move is an extreme example of a leading tech company answering rising concerns about tech overuse.
