A new study shows that too much screen time can stunt child development (though a recent study disagreed). The study published in Pediatrics showed that when a 24-month-old spent more time with a screen, they scored lower on developmental tests taken when they were 36-months-old; the trend continued as the toddlers aged up. But unplugging alone won’t solve the issue. Instead, children need more “high quality caregiver-child interactions,” a critical component of proper child development that was lacking among the kids with high screen use. (TechCrunch)
