There are over one trillion story paths through Netflix’s interactive episode of Black Mirror. This isn’t Netflix’s first foray into choose-your-own-adventure programming, but it is perhaps their most ambitious. Viewers of Bandersnatch can unfold the 60-120-minute-long story by making decisions as small as what cereal they’ll eat for breakfast. And though there are only five main endings (each with multiple variants), small things change based on decisions made throughout—like which cereal is shown on a TV commercial in a later scene. Could this be the future of TV? (Wired)
